Ferrets should NEVER be given fruits, vegetables, any kind of sugary food, EVER. Their digestive tract aren't designed for sugars. cat food should also be proceeded with caution, ferrets have shorter digestive tracts than cats, and need high protein and fat, their food needs to be really good because they need to absorb the nutrients quickly, because of their shorter digestive tract/time.

Adam Knotts, have you tried to hand feed it? Use tweezers and get a hold of the cricket and then place it in front of the scorpion. He should just crab at it but try use small tweezers so he doesn't become afraid of the utensil and sees the food.

I have a wire fox terrier, and as you may know, terriers are breed to hunt small mammals such as rats, mice, etc. I had to take care of a rabbit for a couple of weeks, and my dog would sit by my door all day trying to get in. I am really interested in getting a pet rat, but I don't want to stress it out or put it in potential danger. I do have a spot where I am thinking of putting the cage, and it is a good 4 feet off the ground. What do you suggest?

Thank you for the extensive details regarding what is needed to become a successful veterinarian. There is a lot of training involved in order to gain the needed qualifications, but after looking at the many animals listed on this site, it is not surprising. There are a lot of more exotic pets that veterinarians have to be familiar with now.

Ferret's are not disgusting. They're loving creatures that will love you. They are like puppies that never grow up. They play all there life. They live with what they have. They love to show affection and play games. Ferret's are great for families because they get along with everyone. Although, you would have to watch where you step so you don't step on them. I've done that myself when I first got a ferret. They are one of the most adorable fun-loving creatures on Earth.
